Rhea Stephenson is a proud Aboriginal woman of the Nugi-Nunukal and Mununjarli clans of South East Queensland. She has spent previous years working within Indigenous affairs and over ten years in the Film & Television Industry. As a Producer, Rhea partnered with a range of film production companies as well as operating her own small business. Rhea has produced a range of productions such as short films, tv series and documentaries and have collaborated with Indigenous filmmakers from across the country. Rhea’s work has given her incredible opportunities to understanding her people, culture and history. Through her journey she has a genuine respect for elders and passionate about representing her people. She continues to maintain strong links with communities and feels she is constantly learning from her people, who are her educators and leaders. Rhea has seen firsthand the diversity of our communities but most importantly the richness of her culture. Rhea is currently the Manager of the Industry Engagement Team at Indigenous Business Australia and leading the Futures Forum Project.
